How to replace the engine oil pressure switch on Chevrolet Prizm?

First raise your vehicle then secure it in position at a height before proceeding with switch replacement. Start by removing the 6 bolts and the engine splash shield from the vehicle. Separate the switch electrical connector from the housing before extracting the engine Oil Pressure Switch from its position in the oil filter housing. Mount the engine Oil Pressure Switch to the oil filter housing initially then torque it to 13 n.m (9 lb ft). Reattach the engine splash shield after connecting the Oil Pressure Switch electrical connector then tighten each of the 6 bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Finally, lower the vehicle.
