The required tools for fixing the front Wheel Hub and bearing include j 26941, j 23907, j 25287, j 22912-01, j 35378, j 8092, j 21784, j 37777, j 35737-01, j 35399, j 35737-02. Position the vehicle on a lift framework and take out the front tire assembly from the wheel. When the vehicle has abs (Antilock Brake System), free the abs wheel speed sensor from the
Steering Knuckle. Unbolt the hose from the front
Brake Caliper Bracket and brake rotor before taking away both components. You can remove the Steering Knuckle without touching the front ball joint. Put the Steering Knuckle into a soft jawed vise and use j 26941 and j 23907 tools to pull out the inner seal shield and inner oil seal. Use snap ring pliers to remove the front Wheel Bearing retainer followed by torx 0 (T30) bolt removal for brake shield bolts. Remove the brake shield buttocks from the hub assembly with j 25287 and j 35378 tools before taking out the outer seal using j 26941 and j 23907. Use j 22912-01 with a press to unlock the front Wheel Bearing outside inner race before pulling out the bearing with j 8092, j 21784, the inside inner race, and a receiver cup. Install the new bearing into the Steering Knuckle through j 37777 and j 8092 followed by installing the inner races with j 35399 and j 8092 in the receiver cup while pressing. Drive the side lip of the new outer seal into place in j 35737-01 while lubricating the seal lip with gclb grease (GM P/N 1051344 or equivalent). Fit the brake shield using three torx t30 bolts and tighten them to 74 foot pounds (8.3 Nm). Put the hub with wheel studs down and position the Steering Knuckle. Press the hub into the knuckle system with our tools j 35399, j 8092 and the press. Press the front Wheel Bearing retainer into place using snap ring pliers, then use tool j 35737-02 to install the inner seal by applying gclb grease on its lip. For vehicles with abs install the speed sensor holes precisely into the inner shield and Steering Knuckle. Install the inner seal shield on top of the Steering Knuckle while adding the Wheel Hub, bearing, and seal to a new knuckle you must also put in the ball stud. Reinstall the Steering Knuckle to the vehicle after detaching it from the vise when the ball stud is present. Place the brake rotor back in its position and secure the caliper bracket. Connect the front brake hose and bolt before tightening the bolt to 29 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Place the abs wheel speed sensor in position and fasten it by one bolt at 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Place the tire and wheel unit back in their position before lowering the vehicle and checking its front wheel alignment.
