To replace the ignition cable, you will have to untwist the boot from the
Spark Plug by turning it a 1 /2 turn and pull only on the boot. After that, twist and pull out the ignition cable from the
Ignition Coil as well. It is essential to use the right ignition cables with their relevant coils and brackets in referring to the melco(R) ignition cables that will be accompanied by the melco(R) coils and brackets, delphi(R) ignition cables will be with delphi(R) coils and brackets, etc. These components are not interchangeable. The melco(R) ignition cable is marked in blue foil and is sized at 145 mm (5.70 in) from cable seal to cable seal, whereas delphi(R) ignition cable is marked in white foil and is 110 mm (4.30 in) from cable seal to cable seal. The melco(R) ignition coil is square structured, while the delphi(R) ignition coil is round. In the same way, the melco(R) ignition coil bracket is square while the delphi(R) ignition coil bracket is round. For installation, connect the ignition cable to the Ignition Coil and Spark Plug Wires. Finally, pull on each boot sideways to ensure that it is seated and reinstall any loose boot.
