How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor on an Allison Automatic Transmission on Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic?

Begin the Transmission Speed Sensor replacement process by turning off the vehicle's ignition and unconnecting the external wiring harness from the sensor. Use a wrench to remove the bolt from the speed sensor before you extract the sensor carefully from its location. Rotating the new speed sensor in its retaining bracket during installation will result in improper performance. Mount an installation O-ring on the speed sensor before applying clean transmission fluid for lubrication. Put the new speed sensor into the bore making sure its hole in the retaining bracket matches up with the hole in the speed sensor boss. To install the speed sensor bolt apply 12 Nm (108 inch lbs.) torque force. Reconnect the external wiring harness to the speed sensor at the end of installation.
