Apply a thin layer of synchro-mesh transmission fluid gm p/n 12345349 (Canadian P/N 10953465) or compatible product to a brand-new o-ring seal prior to applying it. Affix the vss parts along with the o-ring seal but be sure to tighten the vss correctly to the specified torque of 16 nm (12 lbsft). Reconnect the vss electrical connector afterwards when lowering the vehicle.
