Beginning the engine oil and Oil Filter replacement requires opening the hood followed by removing the oil fill cap. Use a drain pan under the Oil Pan Drain Plug to drain the entire engine oil while keeping the Oil Pan level after you support and lift the vehicle. The Drain Plug hole and plug need to be wiped from residual oil before you take out the Oil Filter from the engine block and ensure the filter seal stays off the block surface. Place the new Oil Filter on the engine block after applying clean engine oil to its mounting surface then tighten it to 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Before ending the procedure replace the oil Drain Plug and secure it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque value. Then lower the vehicle and finish with the recommended quantity of proper grade engine oil in the crankcase. After cleaning the oil level indicator reinstall it onto its original position. Always check the oil level again by removing the indicator before adding more oil if needed and then close the hood.
