    Q:
How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on Chevrolet Express 3500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Place the engine hood open then take off the oil fill cap before starting to change the oil and filter. The vehicle requires support through proper lifting while you position an oil drain pan beneath the Drain Plug on the Oil Pan. Open the Drain Plug on the Oil Pan then empty out all the engine oil before returning the Oil Pan to level position. After wiping the excess oil from the Drain Plug hole and plug you should use the recommended tool to remove the Oil Filter from the engine block. Ensure that the old filter seal remains on the block. The area surrounding the Oil Filter mount requires cleaning and application of clean engine oil on the new Oil Filter seal for sealing purposes. Fitting the Oil Filter to the engine block requires a torque of 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) while the oil Drain Plug needs to be tightened to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Bob down the vehicle while maintaining the needed amount and class of motor oil inside the crankcase area. After wiping the oil level indicator with a clean cloth reinstall it into position. Verify the oil level by taking out the indicator once more then pour additional oil when needed before you seal the hood.

    Q:
How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting to replace engine oil and Oil Filter requires opening the hood before you remove the oil fill cap. A vehicle must be properly lifted and supported before positioning an oil drain pan beneath the Oil Pan Drain Plug. The engine oil drainage occurs through removing the Oil Pan Drain Plug completely until the bottom of the Oil Pan stays level. After cleaning the drain hole wipe the area and remove the Oil Filter from the block surface while checking for leftover filter parts on the block. After cleaning the mount area of the new Oil Filter use clean engine oil to lubricate its mounting seal before installing it on the engine block with 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) of torque. Lower the vehicle after you set the oil Drain Plug to the engine block with 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque. The crankcase requires the correct amount of prescribed engine oil before removing and cleaning the oil indicator before reinstallation. The service technician should monitor oil levels before finally closing the hood. Add more oil if required.

    Q:
How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on Chevrolet SSR? Posted by Customer
    A:
Engine oil and Oil Filter replacement starts by opening the hood to remove the fill cap before advancing to the next steps. Begin by raising the vehicle and placing an oil drain pan beneath the Oil Pan Drain Plug. Remove the Drain Plug until all engine oil drains out while maintaining a flat position of the Oil Pan for proper drainage. Wipe any excess oil from the Drain Plug hole before installing the Drain Plug and plug. Remove the Oil Filter after checking the filter seal is entirely separated from the engine block and wipe the Oil Filter mounting. You need clean engine oil to lubricate the Oil Filter seal before installing the filter which requires 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) torque. You need to place the oil Drain Plug correctly next then tighten it to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) before lowering the vehicle to add the correct engine oil grade in the right amount. Put the clean cloth on the oil level indicator then reinstall it. Measure the oil level again after removing the indicator then add oil if required before finally closing the hood.

How to replace the engine oil and oil filter on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
You need to start by disconnecting the oil fill cap while raising the vehicle before changing your engine oil and filter. Remove the oil Drain Plug from the oil pan through a proper container while verifying the old Oil Filter seal doesn't stick to the engine block. Use proper wrenches to remove the Oil Filter before cleaning away leftover oil residue from the device housing.
