The area surrounding the Oil Filter mount requires cleaning and application of clean engine oil on the new Oil Filter seal for sealing purposes. Fitting the Oil Filter to the engine block requires a torque of 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) while the oil Drain Plug needs to be tightened to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Bob down the vehicle while maintaining the needed amount and class of motor oil inside the crankcase area. After wiping the oil level indicator with a clean cloth reinstall it into position. Verify the oil level by taking out the indicator once more then pour additional oil when needed before you seal the hood.

Detach the oil pan Drain Plug and let the engine oil to drain fully, then clean the surface of the oil pan Drain Plug. Install a new Oil Filter on to the engine block, tightened up to the manufactures instructions on the Oil Filter box while ensuring to follow the fastener notice in service precautions. Then, install the oil pan Drain Plug and torque it to 28 nm (21 ft. Lbs.). Lastly, lower the vehicle and pour oil into the engine.

Operate the engine and check for leaks and oil pressure.

Install the NEW oil filter and tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb in) plus an additional 150 degrees.

Wipe any excess oil from the oil filter drain deflector and tighten the oil pan drain plug to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).

Install the engine onto a suitable engine stand, remove the generator mounting bracket, and the A/C compressor/power steering pump bracket from the cylinder head.

Lubricate the oil filter seal with clean engine oil.

Check for any oil leaks and install the oil fill cap.

Remove the oil fill cap and raise and support the vehicle.

Remove it, wipe it with a clean cloth, and reinstall it.

Install a new oil filter to the engine block, tightening it according to the manufacturer's instructions printed on the oil filter box, and ensure to follow the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Remove the oil fill cap and raise the vehicle securely.

Close the hood.

Raise and suitably support the vehicle, then place an oil drain pan under the oil pan drain plug.

Lubricate the oil filter gasket with clean engine oil.

Reinstall the oil drain plug, tightening it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
