Begin by cleaning the Oil Filter housing followed by application of engine oil on the new filter's seal before installing the filter with torque at 17 nm (22 ft. Lbs.) plus 150 degrees according to service precautions' fastener notice. Secure the oil pan Drain Plug by torquing it to 26 nm (19 ft. Lbs.) and then proceed to lower the vehicle. Check the crankcase capacity for engine oil and apply a clean cloth to wipe the indicator before reinstalling it. Check the oil level again using the indicator followed by oil addition if required while inspecting for possible oil leakages.
