A 6-point socket should be used to remove the Oil Filter cap after the ignition is turned off to proceed with Oil Filter replacement. First remove the Oil Filter cartridge but discard it before supporting the vehicle. The vehicle needs a suitable drain on which to place during the removal of the oil pan Drain Plug which can then drain all oil completely. Installation requires you to install the Drain Plug of the oil pan accompanied by a new o-ring seal which should be tightened to 20 n.m (15 lb ft). The installation of the new Oil Filter cartridge requires lowering the vehicle with proper lubrication of the Oil Filter cap threads using clean engine oil for future removal. Apply a 6-point socket when installing the Oil Filter cap and tighten it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Begin by inserting the oil fill cap then proceed to add the correct oil of both type and quantity to the engine.
