After removing the Drain Plug you can drain all engine oil but maintain a level position of the Oil Pan. Remove the drained oil from the Drain Plug hole and plug before taking out the Oil Filter from the engine block while ensuring that the filter seal stays off the block. The technician needs to clean the Oil Filter mounting space while applying engine oil to the new Oil Filter's seal before mounting and tightly securing it to the engine block at 30 nm torque (22 ft. Lbs.). The procedure requires reinstalling the oil Drain Plug until it reaches 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) torque before lowering the vehicle so you can add proper engine oil to the crankcase. Wash the oil indicator then reinstall it after cleaning it. Add oil to the proper level before securing the hood.
