Install the new oil filter, tightening it to 3/4 to 1 full turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface.

Raise and support the vehicle appropriately.

Lightly oil the replacement oil filter gasket with clean oil.

Install the new oil filter, tightening it to 3/4 to 1 full turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface.

Clean and inspect the sealing surface on the oil pan, repairing or replacing it if needed.

Raise the vehicle.

Install the new oil filter according to the instructions included with it.

Remove the oil level indicator from the tube, clean the end with a paper towel or cloth, and reinstall it until the handle contacts the top of the tube. Then remove it again, keeping the tip down, and check the oil level.

Lower the vehicle and fill the engine with oil to the appropriate mark.

25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

Adjust the oil level by adding or draining oil, and check for any oil leaks.

Operate the engine to check for leaks and ensure proper oil pressure.

Remove the oil filter and inspect to ensure the engine oil filter gasket is removed.

Adjust the oil level by adding or draining engine oil.

An appropriate drain pan.

Remove the oil level indicator from the tube, clean the end with a paper towel or cloth, and reinstall it until the handle contacts the top of the tube. Then, remove it again, keeping the tip down, and check the oil level.

Disconnect the negative battery cable and raise the vehicle.

An oil drain pan.

Lower the vehicle and fill the engine with new engine oil.

Remove the oil filter from the engine block and clean the sealing surface.

Remove the oil filter from the oil filter adapter.

Lubricate the engine oil filter gasket with clean engine oil.

Take out the engine flywheel bolts and then remove the engine flywheel.

Lower the vehicle and fill the engine with the proper capacity and quality of engine oil.

Adjust the oil level as necessary by adding or draining oil, check for any oil leaks, and finally, close the hood.
