The process of outlet
Radiator hose replacement starts with draining the cooling system for 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l engines. Disconnect the outlet duct clamps of the air cleaner located at the
Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor. Next remove the Radiator inlet hose clip attached to the outlet duct followed by removing the air cleaner outlet duct. The outlet hose removal process starts with unfastening the clamp at the
Water Pump to extract the hose from the pump and moving to the next step which uncovers the hose at the Radiator for replacement. The installation sequence requires attaching the outlet hose to the Radiator after which you should position the outlet hose clamp at the Radiator. Clean the Water Pump then install the outlet hose before positioning the outlet hose clamp at the Water Pump. Install the air cleaner outlet duct by making sure its Throttle Body end arrow points to the Throttle Body stud before proceeding. First secure the Radiator inlet hose clip onto the outlet duct. After that use a wrench to tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps at the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.). Finally, fill the cooling system.
