How to replace the air filter element on Chevrolet SSR?

Begin by lifting the hood and taking out the mass air flow (MAF) sensor, then take off the foam insulation from the air cleaner housing. Then, take out the screws that hold the air cleaner together and separate it to get the Air Filter out. Put the new Air Filter into the air cleaner and close it, then attach the front to rear air cleaner housing screws and tighten them to 3 n.m (27 lb in) as said in the fastener notice. When you're done with the screws, put the foam insulation and the maf sensor back, and then close the hood.
