Begin the replacement process by removing and then the Power Steering Pump mounting studs and eventually the connector and fitting assembly of the o-ring seal. When needed you should remove both the control valve assembly and flow control spring from inside the pump housing assembly. The reservoir assembly should be separated from the pump housing assembly then the o-ring seals and together with the magnet must be cleaned before removal. The Power Steering Pump housing must receive replacement if the welch plug in its housing becomes deformed or dislodged even when not removed for inspection. Lubrication of o-ring seals and requires power steering fluid with new o-ring seals for assembly.
