How to replace the Leaf Spring Shackle on Chevrolet Suburban 2500?

Begin repair by using proper vehicle supports to lift up your vehicle. Start by removing the leaf spring assembly from the vehicle then take out the shackle nut and bolt from the spring. Follow Fastener Notice in Service Precautions when attaching the shackle to the spring during installation. Tighten the shackle nut to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.) after positioning it and the bolt on the spring. Reinstall the leaf spring assembly into the vehicle then remove safety stands before lowering the vehicle.
