How to replace the front side door striker on Chevrolet Tracker?

Before adding the front side Door Lock striker you need to make markings on the door jamb to guide the installation process. The front side Door Lock striker requires two screws for removal from its position on the door jamb. Begin by attaching the new front side Door Lock striker to the door jamb and you must fasten it with the installed 2 screws. The vertical measurement of the front side Door Lock striker must be adjusted through the shaft so its shaft points directly to the center of the front side Door Lock. You should set the distance from Door Lock striker to front side door at 10.9-12.9 mm (0.43-0.5 in) by adding or removing shims. Adjust the Door Lock striker to Door Lock distance using shims at 3.4-5.4 mm (0.13-0.21 in). To complete the installation, position the Door Lock striker horizontally and shift it along the door jamb while aligning the panel so that the door sits flush on 2 door vehicles (quarter) or 4 door vehicles (rear).
