How to install the A/C Accumulator to the A/C evaporator tube on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Begin installation of the A/C Accumulator (ACDelco P/N 15-1696) to the a/c Evaporator tube by removing the air cleaner. Mark the position 50 mm (2 in) from an Evaporator tube bend which is close to the expansion tube end before adding another 50.8 mm (2 in). Variables can install the A/C Accumulator (Adelco P/N 15-1696) to the a/c Evaporator tube between the condenser and Evaporator with a tubing cutter (J 39400-A) by cutting the tube at the marked position and cleaning burrs from the tube to prevent metal intrusion. The A/C Accumulator requires nut removal together with ferrules and o-rings at this point although o-ring installation is postponed until further instructions. Fit the ferrules end first into each Evaporator tube half followed by nuts which should have ferrules with small ends directed toward the nut. Use the A/C Accumulator to connect the Evaporator tube by facing the flow arrow toward the Evaporator while tightening the nuts against the accumulator to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Place the o-rings inside 525 viscosity refrigerant oil before installing them between the Evaporator tube halves. As the last step reinstall the nuts to the A/C Accumulator while tightening them to 15 n.m (11 lb ft) and complete the process by evacuating and recharging the system followed by fitting leak detection with a halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) then reinstalling the air cleaner.
