  A: Begin by removing the cooling fan together with the shroud before detaching the Fan Clutch from the fan shroud. Separate the Fan Blade from the Fan Clutch by removing its bolts which hold the blade to the clutch. When installing the Fan Blade onto the Fan Clutch users must use the proper fastener at its correct location because replacement fasteners should match the application-specific part number. The service procedure provides requirements regarding the use of thread lock compounds and sealants for fasteners that must be replaced or use thread locking compounds during installation. Fasteners should never come into contact with paints or lubricants or any corrosion inhibitors because such additives will affect torque levels along with clamping-force capabilities which could damage the fasteners.
