  A: Begin by supporting the hood open before removing the Hood Cable from its Hood Latch housing and the retaining clips. Before removing the cable secure a mechanics wire on the Hood Latch so the new cable can be reinstalled. First remove the hood release handle and extract both the Hood Cable and grommet from the passenger area. Leading wires must move from the previous Hood Cable to the brand new one. Use the lead wire to thread the new Hood Cable through the dash panel for installation while ensuring the grommet fully enters the dash panel. After attaching the hood release handle place the Hood Cable onto the Hood Latch and lock down the Hood Cable retaining clips and finally close the hood.
