Chevrolet Uplander Washer Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the windshield washer reservoir on Chevrolet Uplander?
A: You must relocate the underhood electrical center before starting windshield wiper solvent container replacement. Disconnect the electrical connections from both Washer Pumps first. Then open the right diagonal brace to reach the washer hose connections at the front and rear pumps. Collect washer solvent in an approved container. Pull your engine harness over the circuit spout and step down the washer container through the engine space by removing the bolted fender flanges and inner wheelhouse connections. Also disconnect the 2 front engine wiring connectors during this process. Carry the washer solvent container out of the engine compartment and take the cap as well as front and rear washer pumps if available. First install rubber grommets for wiper pumps into the washer container before reinstalling the cap and both washer pumps including the rear pump if equipped. Lower the washer container into the engine bay and place the underhood electrical set behind its spout before guiding the engine harness down to fix the washer container rightly. Secure the bolts with 6 n.m torque value first before linking washer jumper hoses and electrical units. Place back the right front diagonal support while moving the underhood electrical center into place and filling the Washer Reservoir with new liquid based solvent. Test all wiper and washer functions.
