    Q: How to replace the rear sliding door striker on Chevrolet Uplander?
    A:
    The first step to replace the rear sliding Door Lock striker involves disabling the power sliding door system through psd 15a fuse removal from the instrument panel fuse block followed by opening the sliding door. You must remove the sliding Door Striker screws before taking out the sliding Door Striker combined with the shim from the c-pillar. Install the sliding Door Striker onto the c-pillar by placing it into the oversized hole which allows 4 mm (0.15 in) of adjustment through the caged nut. The striker may fail to engage the Door Lock properly so check the door alignment within the frame accordingly. A proper alignment will be achieved by placing the door latch at the center of the striker or by adding or removing shims accordingly. When you have the sliding Door Striker positioned correctly you should install its screws and apply 25 n.m (18 lb ft) torque. The psd 15a fuse needs to be reinstalled into the instrument panel fuse block to restore low current logic power after which the power sliding doors will work but the modules need to learn the full open and closed positions.
