    A: Starting the proportion valve replacement requires removal of the air cleaner housing found in the engine compartment. First remove the brake pipes that connect to the master cylinder while documenting their original positions for post-installation. Start by disconnecting brake pipes from the proportion valve then remove the nuts holding the proportion valve bracket until you can pull out the proportion valve and bracket. Begin installation by attaching the proportion valve bracket to its location with the nuts which require a 10 nm (84 inch lbs.) torque. Fasten the brake pipes to the proportion valve by applying a pressure of 24 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) on the fittings.brake pipe connections to the master cylinder must use fittings with 32 nm torque (24 ft. Lbs. Torque). After installing the air cleaner housing finish up by bleeding the brake system.
