Chevrolet Venture Seat Belt Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the center rear seat belt on Chevrolet Venture?
A: The process of replacing center rear seat belts begins by removing the center bucket before removing the screw holding the trim cover to the recliner and the recliner bolts from the seat cushion frame. The seat needs its back section to be separated from the cushion before extracting the riser. The seat cover fails to bend when curvature is applied to the J-hooks allowing users to disconnect and extract the seat cushion and frame from the pan. Remove the seat belt retractor and buckle from the seat frame as a next step. Install the seat belt buckle onto the seat frame while securing its mini buckle bolt to 53 N.m (39 lb ft). The retractor bolt which connects the seat belt to the seat framework needs to be tightened to 43 N.m (32 lb ft). First reinstall the seat cover along with the seat cushion to the seat pan and after that position the seat riser to the seat frame and tighten riser bolts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft). Reconnect the seat cushion with its seat back while placing recliner bolts that should be tightened to 32 N.m (24 lb ft) torque specifications. Afterward, reinstall the center bucket inside the vehicle.
