To replace rear spring, insulator, jounce bumper, raise and support vehicle, remove rear tire and wheel. Lift up the lower Control Arm with the help of an adjustable jack stand by removing lower stabilizer shaft link bushing and nut and replace with the lower shock absorber bolt and the bolt from the lower knuckle following removal. We gradually lower the vehicle with the adjustable jack stand until the rear spring , insulator , jounce bumper, and spring seat can be removed. For installation, place the spring seat, jounce bumper, rear spring, and insulator on the lower Control Arm, raise the lower Control Arm up using adjustable jack stand until the lower bolts for the knuckle can be installed. Dislodge the adjustable jack stand and install the lower stabilizer shaft link bushing and nut, below is the lower shock absorber bolt. Mount the strut onto the coil spring and upper strut mount and install the strut retaining nut loosely, then using a 45 torx(R) socket, use the strut rod nut socket (J 42991) to tighten the upper strut mount nut to 85 n.m (63 lb ft) while holding the strut shaft with a 45 torx(R) socket. Finally, take off the strut from the strut spring compressor (J 45400) and reinstall it to the car.
