Before replacing the crankshaft position sensor you should start by removing the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. FirstDisconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Then remove the crankshaft sensor bolt to remove the crankshaft sensor. To install the position sensor position it first followed by bolt installation and bolt torque to 10 N.m (89 lb in). You must reconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the CKP sensor before finally reinstalling the exhaust manifold lower heat shield.
