GMC C2500 Clutch Slave Cylinder Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service and repair the Clutch Slave Cylinder on GMC C2500?
A: Service and repairs on clutch slave cylinders begin when technicians remove the transmission from the vehicle. Start by removing the two bolts that maintain the connection between the actuator cylinder and clutch housing followed by extraction of the actuator cylinder from the transmission input shaft. The bearing replacement requires removal of the actuator cylinder unit from its housing. Set the actuator cylinder onto the transmission input shaft with proper orientation of both bleed screw and coupling leading to transmission ports. Two bolts must secure the actuator cylinder to the clutch housing and should be torqued to 8 nm (71 inch lbs.). Finally, reinstall the transmission.
