Service and repair of the Pressure Plate requires starting with transmission removal. The first step involves disconnecting the quick disconnect from the actuator cylinder. The service technician must either install the clutch alignment tool (J 5824-01) or support the clutch with a clutch drive gear. Mark the Flywheel along with a clutch Pressure Plate lug before their installation alignment. You should take the bolts and washers that attach the clutch Pressure Plate and clutch driven plate to Flywheel . Afterward, extract the clutch alignment tool. The installation requires attaching the clutch Pressure Plate and the clutch driven plate to the Flywheel through the use of bolts that include washers . Support the clutch using either a clamp tool known as clutch alignment tool (J 5824-01) or a clutch drive gear. Secure the clutch Pressure Plate to the Flywheel bolts by applying torque to 41 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Then remove the clutch alignment tool.
