How to service and repair the pressure plate on 2000 GMC C2500?

Toservice and repair the pressure plate, remove the transmission, and in the first instance, get the actuator cylinder disconnected. A Clutch Alignment Tool will be used to hold the clutch. Alignment Mark the flywheel and clutch pressure plate. Unscrew the bolts holding the parts of the clutch and screw them back in with the alignment tool. Lastly, install the transmission again.
