  Q: How to replace the Air Inject Check Valve on GMC Canyon?

  A: Begin the replacement process of the Secondary Air Injection Check Valve by first opening the hood and then removing the air cleaner outlet duct. Elevate the replacement of the Secondary Air Injection Check Valve by disconnecting the air pump outlet hose quick connect fitting from the check valve followed by removing the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the check valve. Detach the air check valve studs after which you can remove the combination of air check valve and gasket while discarding the old gasket. The first step for installation involves putting a new air check valve gasket in between engine components before placing the air check valve onto its installation position on the engine. Tighten the air check valve studs to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The engine wiring harness electrical connector needs to be reattached to the air check valve before installing the air pump outlet hose quick connect fitting to the check valve. After dismantling, return and fasten the air cleaner outlet duct before securing the hood.
