The first step involves rotor removal together with disconnection of the park brake cable from the park brake lever. The park Brake Shoe requires you to move it downward until it breaks free from the hold down spring before elevating and removing it away from the back plate to slide off from the actuation mechanism. Clean park brake components at the axle flange with a clean towel after pulling out the shoe over the flange. Set the adjustment screw at full home position within the notched adjustment nut before rotating it 1/4 turn. Ensure that both the screw slot and tappet slot remain aligned with the backing plate surface. Detergent alcohol cleans the rear backing plate before its drying happens through ungreased filtered air supply. The installation of new park brake shoes begins with placing one over the axle flange followed by positioning it onto the actuation mechanism.
