In order to replace the hydraulic Brake Booster, first, apply the park brake, and then put a drain pan under the hydraulic Brake Booster and the booster reservoir. Unplug the reservoir hose and the
Power Steering Hoses from the booster but make sure you do not disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder. Unscrew the master cylinder nuts and suspend the master cylinder, then detach the
Pushrod from the Brake Pedal. Get rid of the hydraulic booster mounting nuts from the inside of the vehicle and remove the booster assembly with a gasket. For installation, lay down the gasket before installing the booster assembly. Mount the booster nuts and tighten to 36 nm (27 ft. Lbs.). Attach the Pushrod to the Brake Pedal, and mount and tighten the master cylinder using the master cylinder nuts with a torque of 36 nm (27 ft. Lbs.). Join the power steering hoses to the booster, tightening the hose fittings to the level of, 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs), then joining the reservoir hose on to the booster. Lastly, bleed the hydraulic Brake Booster, together with release of the parking brake.
