The vehicle should have a drain pan positioned underneath it so technicians can disconnect power steering pressure and return hoses and reservoir outlet hose attachments from the pump while using end caps to cover all components against dirt ingress. Start by disconnecting the Power Steering Pump mounting bolts until completing the accessory mounting bracket bolts. Finally loosen the nuts to pull out the Power Steering Pump from its position.
