The removal of bolts linking the rear bumper fascia impact bar with the vehicle becomes necessary. Begin installation by fastening the bolts on the rear bumper fascia impact bar only if they were removed then put on the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle. Follow the Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices before installing the bolts which fasten the rear bumper fascia to the impact bar where mounting bracket bolts require a torque of 2 N.m (18 lb in). Reinstall the rear step pad as the last step of installation.
