How to replace the Leaf Spring Shackle on GMC Savana 3500?

Before starting to change the spring shackle users must lift and support the vehicle while placing a safety stand under the rear axle. Completely dismantle the spring shackle by removing first the mounting nut and bolt which connects it to the Leaf Spring and then the mounting nut and bolt that attaches to the frame bracket. Lastly remove the spring shackle from the Leaf Spring and frame bracket. Start with Leaf Spring spring shackle frame bracket attachment followed by mounting the bolt and nut to the frame bracket while keeping the bolt loose. Proceed to install the mounting nut and bolt to the spring shackle together with the Leaf Spring and fasten them with 90 n.m (66 lb ft) torque. Drop the vehicle after eliminating the support for the rear axle.
