Start the evaporative emission canister purge solenoid valve changing by taking off the air cleaner outlet resonator. Dismantle the tube quick connect fitting from the evap purge solenoid valve, then move the tube so it won't get in the way. After that, take off the engine wiring connector from the evap purge solenoid, and remove the evap canister purge solenoid valve bolt and the whole evap canister purge solenoid valve from the upper
Intake Manifold. If you have to, take out the evap canister purge solenoid valve o-ring seal from the upper Intake Manifold. Apply clean engine oil to the evap canister purge solenoid valve o-ring seal before installation to make it easier, then put the evap canister purge solenoid valve into the upper Intake Manifold. Place the evap canister purge solenoid valve bolt and tighten it until it registers 10 n.m (89 lb in). Plug the engine wiring harness connector into the evap purge valve solenoid, put the evap canister purge solenoid tube in place, and push the tube quick connect fitting onto the evap purge solenoid valve. Afterwards, put the air cleaner outlet resonator in place.
