First untether the cruise control module electrical connector and undo the cruise control module nuts to free up the cruise control cable from the module connections. The replacement process starts with new module installation followed by cruise control cable connection to the installed module. Use the nuts to secure the module while tightening them until they reach 9 N.m (80 lb in). Also read the Service Precautions for Fasteners. After connecting the cruise control module electrical connector, reinstall the upper fender brace while tightening its bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
