Starting the replacement of the outlet duct on the air cleaner resonator requires removing the sight shield from the intake manifold. Move on to detach the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) line from the air cleaner outlet duct after which you should remove the radiator inlet hose clamp retainer and the radiator vent inlet hose retainer at the outlet duct. Unfasten the air cleaner outlet duct clamps along both the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and
Throttle Body. Push the air cleaner outlet duct upward at the resonator tab to shift the resonator away from its intake manifold stud before extracting the duct from the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor. When installing place the air cleaner outlet duct onto the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor while ensuring the resonator tab positions correctly with the intake manifold stud. Use the air cleaner outlet duct to push down over the resonator tab before securing the resonator to its stud. Finally, tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the Throttle Body to 4 nm (35 lb in) and clamp at the maf/iat sensor to 4 nm (35 lb in). After reinstalling the radiator hose retainer hardware, reattach the pcv line to the air cleaner outlet duct. To complete the repair process install the intake manifold sight shield.
