    Q:
How to replace the air hose resonator outlet duct on Cadillac Escalade? Posted by Customer
    A:
First remove the intake manifold sight shield followed by detaching the pcv line from the air cleaner outlet duct as the first step to replace the duct. Remove the radiator inlet hose clamp retainer followed by the radiator vent inlet hose retainer from the outlet duct. At both the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor and the Throttle Body you need to release the air cleaner outlet duct clamps. Lift the air cleaner outlet duct at its resonator tab to loosen the stud pull from the intake manifold before you detach the duct from the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor. During installation position the air cleaner outlet duct by attaching it to Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor hardware ensuring the resonator tab faces the intake manifold stud. Press the duct resonator down for stud attachment before clamping both the Throttle Body to 4 n.m (35 lb in) and maf/iat sensor to 4 n.m (35 lb in). After reinstalling the radiator vent inlet hose retainer and the radiator inlet hose clamp retainer, install the pcv line to the air cleaner outlet duct then finally add the intake manifold sight shield.

    Q:
How to replace the air hose resonator outlet duct on GMC Yukon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Begin replacement of the air cleaner resonator outlet duct by taking off the intake manifold sight shield. Begin by removing the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) line from the air cleaner outlet duct after which detach the radiator inlet hose clamp clip from the same duct. Loosen the clamp securing the air cleaner outlet duct to the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor as well as to the Throttle Body. Squeeze and lift the air cleaner outlet duct away from the intake manifold stud located at its resonator tab prior to removing the duct between the Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor. During reinstallation position the duct notch against the Throttle Body upper boss before securing the duct to both Throttle Body and maf/iat sensor components while ensuring the resonator tab aligns with the intake manifold stud. Tighten both the air cleaner outlet duct clamp on the Throttle Body and the maf/iat sensor clamp to 4 nm (35 lb in) after pushing the duct resonator onto its intake manifold stud. Remount the radiator inlet hose clamp clip on the air cleaner outlet duct and install the pcv line back on the duct. Reinstall the intake manifold sight shield last.
