How to replace the rear Leaf Spring Shackle on a 1500 Series on GMC Sierra 1500?

The first step to install a new rear spring shackle on 1500 Series vehicles requires a vehicle lift for support. Take out the leaf spring assembly from the vehicle as the following step. You need to extract both bolt and nut from the spring after removing the leaf spring assembly from the vehicle. The installation process requires attaching the shackle to the spring with attention to all fastener safety guidelines. Fitting the spring with its shackle nut and bolt requires torquing the shackle nuts to 95 Nm (70 lb ft). Follow this by installing the leaf spring assembly onto the vehicle then take out the safety stands before lowering the vehicle.
