How to replace the Leaf Spring Shackle on GMC Sierra 3500?

When replacing the spring shackle start by lifting and sustaining the vehicle in position. Start by lifting and supporting the vehicle, then take out the leaf spring assembly that is mounted on the vehicle. Proceed with removing the shackle nut and the bolt attached to the spring component. Install the shackle to the spring while following the Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Fasten the bolt and shackle nut onto the spring before tightening the shackle nut to 95 Nm (70 ft finns). The leaf spring assembly should be reinstalled to the vehicle followed by removal of security stands when lowering the vehicle.
