  A: The first step requires vehicle lift-up and support followed by park brake release to replace the park brake shoe (w/RPO NYS). The process starts with tire removal before using the intermediate cable to lower the park brake cable tension and disconnecting the cable from the equalizer bar. Begin by removing the rear park brake bracket bolt then detach the park brake cable from the park brake actuator lever before removing the Wheel Bearing to take out the park brake shoe from the backing plate. The park brake shoe installation process requires setting it up on the backing plate followed by putting back the Wheel Bearing then adjusting the park brake shoe. The park brake cable installation requires connecting it to the park brake actuator lever while installing the rear park brake bracket bolt which requires torquing down to 61 nm (45 ft. Lbs.).
