How to replace the thermostat housing on 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engines on GMC Sierra 3500?

In removing the Thermostat Housing on 4.8l, 5.3l, and 6.0l engines, remove the radiator outlet hose, the Water Pump inlet bolts and the inlet with the Thermostat Housing from the Water Pump noting that the housing of the Thermostat is not serviceable separately and will therefore have to be replaced as an assembly with the Water Pump inlet. Next, first install the Thermostat Housing and the Thermostat to the Water Pump while following the fastener notice in service precautions and then the Thermostat Housing bolt will be tightened to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.). Finally, replace the radiator outlet hose.
