How to replace the outer tie rod end in the rear wheel steering system on GMC Sierra 3500?

Start replacing the outer Tie Rod End in the rear wheel steering system by first taking off the tire together with the wheel. You must remove the outer tie rod retaining nut while you loosen the tie rod jam nut. The first step is to remove the outer Tie Rod End nut which fixes the component to the Steering Knuckle. The universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) should be used for taking off the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle before removing it from the inner tie rod. To install the equipment connect the inner and outer parts of the Tie Rod End while also attaching them to the Steering Knuckle. After installing the retaining nut for the outer Tie Rod End you must tighten it to 55 nm (40 ft. Lbs.). You should reattach the wheel along with the tire afterward performing four-wheel alignment.
