    Q:
How to replace the outer rear wheel steering tie rod end on Cadillac Escalade EXT? Posted by Customer
    A:
The starting point for outer rear wheel steering Tie Rod End replacement involves hoisting the vehicle and subsequently removing the tire as well as wheel. You should start by detaching the tie rod bracket retaining bolts which secure the Steering Knuckle then loosen the tie rod jam nut. The universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) enables detachment of the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle after removing the nut that retains them together. Next detach the Tie Rod End outer section from the inner rod. The correct procedure for installation starts with attaching the outer Tie Rod End to the inner tie rod followed by attaching it to the Steering Knuckle. First install and tighten the outer Tie Rod End retaining nut to the Steering Knuckle to 55 nm (40 ft. Lbs.) then proceed to add the outer Tie Rod End retaining bracket while tightening its mounting bolts to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). As the last step install the tire and wheel then schedule a four-wheel alignment procedure.

    Q:
How to replace the inner rear wheel steering tie rod end on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
Vehicle elevation and tire and wheel removal is necessary before starting the process of changing the inner rear wheel steering Tie Rod End. Detach the Rack And Pinion boot from the steering gear as the starting step. The process requires using the inner tie rod wrench (J 44665-1) and (J 44665-2) to remove the inner tie rod support clamp by turning it counterclockwise due to its right hand threading while the support nut features left hand threading. The steering gear needs the inner tie rod wrench (J 44665-2) for removing the inner tie rod from its position. Mount the inner tie rod onto the steering gear before using the inner tie rod wrench (J 44665-2) to fasten it with 100 n.m (74 lb ft). Proceed with installing the inner tie rod support clamp onto the steering gear then secure it at 25 n.m (18 lb ft) using both the inner tie rod wrench (J 44665-1) and (J 44665-2). To complete the repair install the Rack And Pinion boot followed by the tire and wheel and lower the vehicle until performing a four wheel alignment.

    Q:
How to replace the outer rear wheel steering tie rod end on Chevrolet Suburban 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
The vehicle lifting process should start with tire removal before repairing the outer rear wheel steering Tie Rod End. After raising the vehicle remove the Steering Knuckle retaining bolts from the Tie Rod bracket. Then loosen the Tie Rod jam nut. Use the universal steering linkage puller (J24319-B) to separate the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle after removing the nut which holds it in place and the Steering Knuckle attaching bolts. The procedure entails removing the outer Tie Rod End both from the inner Tie Rod and from the Steering Knuckle. The installation of the steering component starts with connecting the outer Tie Rod End to the inner Tie Rod before securing them to the Steering Knuckle. Fasten the Steering Knuckle retaining nut on the outer Tie Rod End then tighten it to 55 nm (40 ft. Lbs.). After attaching the outer Tie Rod End retaining bracket it is crucial to tighten retaining bolts to 65 nm (48 ft. Lbs.). The tire and wheel need reinstallation followed by a four-wheel alignment procedure.
