GMC Sierra 3500 Window Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear door window motor on GMC Sierra 3500?
A: The process begins with lifting the rear window before removing it when the motor does not operate. Then you can proceed with accessing the retaining screws. Drive out the door trim panel and water deflector along with the door speaker before stabilizing the window. Users need to disconnect the wiring harness from the Window Regulator motor and remove the 3 bolts (11508973) from its front side while avoiding cable spool failure by ensuring the cable gear stays inside the housing. Wiggle the Window Motor while observing its orientation to break loose the connection from the cable housing and pull the motor out of the Window Regulator assembly. After inserting the motor back into the cable housing users must install the 3 bolts (11508973) then tighten them to 5 n.m (44 lb in). The procedure will involve reinstalling the window before attaching the wiring harness to the Window Regulator motor before taking out the window support. After mounting the wire connector to the switch test window operation and put back speaker and water deflector before fitting the door trim panel.
