GMC Yukon Window Regulator Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front power window regulator on GMC Yukon?
A: The procedure to replace a front power Window Regulator starts by supporting the window glass while in an elevated position before removing the trim panel along with the water deflector. Begin by disconnecting the electric motor harness before removing the two bolts that secure the window glass to the regulator and subsequently the bolts from the Window Regulator. Pulling both sides of the Window Regulator assembly toward each other creates sufficient space to extract it from the door opening. Secure the regulator within the door structure by applying light twisting motion to achieve proper installation. Before tightening the regulator bolts apply permatex threadlocker (Part Number 24200, GM P/N 12345382) to their threads. First secure the bolts into position on the Window Regulator until torque reaches 9 n.m or 80 pound-inches. Synchronize the window glass with the regulator before applying the bolts that secure the window to its regulator position. Proceed by tightening the bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). After that reinstall both water deflector and trim panel before lowering the window and inspecting the windows operation.
