    Q:
How to replace the front door window regulator on Chevrolet Silverado 1500? Posted by Customer
    A:
One must start by lifting and suspending the front door window glass before taking out the trim panel along with its water deflector. You should detach the 2 bolts securing the window to the regulator after which you need to eliminate the bolts from the window regulator. Take out the window regulator assembly from the door by folding both sides against each other. Place the regulator inside the door frame by twisting it gently for proper installation. Before you tighten the assembly apply Permatex Threadlocker (Part Number 24200 GM P/N 12345382) onto the threads of the regulator bolt. Install the bolts to the window regulator then secure them at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Position the window glass onto the regulator before securing it with bolts to the regulator and tighten these bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in). After reinstalling the trim panel and water deflector you must lower the window to conduct an operation check of its functionality.
