The replacement process of front door window glass weather strip begins with removing door trim panel then water deflector and window in succession. Before extracting the weather strip from the doorway you must remove screws first and then pull the weather strip from positions that include the front of the glass run channel and the top of the window frame flange followed by the rear of the glass run channel. Install the new weather strip by placing it at the front of the glass run channel as well as the top of the window frame flange and the rear of the glass run channel. Secure the bolts in their respective locations by torquing them to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Reinstall the door trim panel followed by the water deflector then the window before verification of the window operating functions.

To remove the front side door weather strip, first open the door and remove the sill plate (Front Side Door Sill Plate Replacement), next the hinge pillar trim panel (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement), and finally the windshield pillar molding (Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement). Then, separate the weather strip from the rear side door aperture by pulling the weather strip out of the channel to detach it from the pinchweld flange. To install, press the new weather strip all the way into the channel of the rear side door opening then reinstall the windshield pillar molding (Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement), the hinge pillar trim panel (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement), and the sill plate (Front Side Door Sill Plate Lastly test the door closing effort and make sure there is an adequate seal to the door fit.

Close the midgate and put the rear removable glass panel back in place.

Carefully lift the forward end of the outer sealing strip to unhook the rear from the window run channel, then remove it from the door.

Inspect the weatherstrip with the midgate closed and the glass panel in place, and return the rear seat to the upright position.

Peel the weatherstrip away from the channel at the rear side door opening.

Push the new weather-strip over the pinch-weld flange.

Align the paint mark on the weatherstrip to the outer top center of the pinch weld flange, then push the weatherstrip onto the flange starting from the top center of the endgate opening, ensuring it is completely seated around the liftgate opening.

Reinstall the window, the water deflector, and the door trim panel.

Ensure the weatherstrip is completely seated around the liftgate opening.

Hook the rear end of the new sealing strip into the window run channel.

First, remove the rear door sill plate.

Carefully place the sunroof window weatherstrip onto the perimeter of the sunroof window, ensuring it is fully seated.

Align the slot in the rear hood seal with the cowl pinch-weld flange and press it into place.

Install the weatherstrip onto the pinch-weld flange, making sure it is fully seated.

The bond joint should be at the lower center of the door opening.

First, pull up on the rear hood seal and remove it from the cowl pinch-weld flange.

The hinge pillar trim panel and the windshield pillar molding.

Reinstall the window, the water deflector, and the door trim panel.
