The first step to change an A/C accumulator requires recovering the refrigerant then raising the vehicle. First remove the right front fender liner while immediately applying caps or tape to the open condenser and evaporator lines to stop contamination. The bolt securing the evaporator line to the condenser needs removal but you should leave behind both nuts and ferrules attached to the line. The next step should involve removing the A/C accumulator. The O-rings require 535 viscosity clean refrigerant oil as lubricant before installing them on the liquid line before attaching it to the A/C accumulator through hand-tightened nuts. Screw and tighten the evaporator hose bolt until it reaches 25 N.m (18 lb ft). The A/C accumulator requires filling its liquid line completely before tightening its accumulator nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft). After system evacuation and refrigerator charge completion the A/C accumulator must be subjected to a leak test. The conclusion of the procedure requires reinstalling the right front fender liner as the vehicle lowers to its normal height.

First, recover the refrigerant and raise the vehicle.

Install the liquid line into the A/C refrigerant filter, ensuring it bottoms out, and tighten the nuts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft) while holding the line in place.
