To service and repair the air door actuator / motor, begin by removing the right instrument panel insulator panel and the ip compartment to be removed. Release the two vacuum lines the defroster actuator and tighten the orange vacuum line to the recirculation actuator then install a hand Vacuum Pump. In its attachment to the hvac module case, remove the defroster actuator. If ease of access is affecting you, then it is renown to use the hand Vacuum Pump to fully open the recirculation actuator door, rotate the defroster actuator to the right and up into the space where it would blend with the back of the dash and the hvc module. Modify the defroster actuator from defroster door arm. For the installation of the device, fix the defroster actuator on the arm of the defroster door and snap it into the number of the hvac module. Attached the vacuum line to the actuator, removed hand Vacuum Pump , reattached vacuum line to the recirculation actuator. Finally, reinstall the i/p compartment and the right instrument insulator panel.

To replace the defroster actuator remove the cross vehicle beams, and notice that it has disconnected a vacuum line from the defroster vacuum actuator. Turn the lever of defroster valve all the way rear (counter clockwise) and cautiously position screwdriver between the lower edge of the lever and the projecting wall of the HVAC Module case beneath the lever to secure in this position. Lift up to retract the defroster vacuum actuator retaining table, then gently turn the defroster vacuum actuator upward and in the forward direction to pull it from the HVAC module case. Disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod from the defrost valve lever and take off the vacuum actuator. For installation, use the vacuum actuator pushrod to connect it to the defrost valve lever, carefully move it rearward and then downward and align the actuator slots to the case of the HVAC module, and then press the vacuum actuator towards the HVAC module and attach it with its retaining tab. Lastly, attach the vacuum lines to the defroster vacuum actuator, and put back the cross vehicle beam.

To replace the defroster actuator, first, you have to remove the I/P carrier. Next, pull the blue vacuum hose as well as the green vacuum hose off the defroster actuator making sure to remember where they are. Next, pull the actuator lock tab and slide off the actuator as well. Pull the actuator linkage out from the defroster door using the squeeze tabs to squeeze part of the door. For the attachment of the linkage attachments to the defroster door, slide the defroster actuator to the mounting bracket until the tab can be locked and reconnect the blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose before reinstallation of the I/P carrier.

First, remove the IP carrier in order to replace the defroster actuator. Next, pull back the black vacuum hose and the white vacuum hose from the defroster actuator, making a note of where they are located. Lifting thereafter actuator lock tab and sliding off the actuator. Mappings for the actuator linkage to the defroster door can be removed by squeezing the tabs on the door. For installation, align the actuator linkage with the defroster door, slide defroster defroster actuator into place on the m loading bracket until the tab locks, reconnect the blue vacuum hose 1 and the green vacuum hose 2 to the defroster actuator, and then reinstall the IP carrier.

Secondly, to replace the defroster actuator, take off the IP carrier. Next, detach the blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose from the defroster actuator, paying particular attention to where they are located and in which order. After that, hold the actuator lock tab and slide against the actuator. Compress the tabs and pull the actuator linkage off the defroster door. To install, mount the actuator linkage to the defroster door, then slide on the defroster actuator onto the mounting bracket until the tab locks. Reconnect the blue vacuum hose and the green vacuum hose to the defroster actuator, and finally, install the IP carrier.

Start by disconnecting the car's negative Battery Cable during the temperature actuator replacement process. Begin by opening the instrument panel then remove the power connection from the temperature actuator installed on the heater case front inside the passenger area. First remove the actuator screws before pulling out the component. The actuator adjustment process requires connecting the electrical connector followed by turning the ignition to run until self-adjustment completes before returning to off and removing the actuator from power. You should start by reinstalling the actuator to its original position. Then install the screws afterward and establish electrical connector connections. Next step move the instrument panel compartment forward while reconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Finally, test the circuit operation.

Begin defroster actuator replacement by taking out the right instrument panel insulator panel followed by instrument panel compartment screws and compartment removal. The defroster actuator located on the right side of the ip compartment opening demands the detachment of its two vacuum lines using a yellow vacuum line from the passenger compartment and a red vacuum line from the windshield area. After disconnecting the orange vacuum line from the recirculation actuator you should install a hand Vacuum Pump. Lift the defroster actuator out of its hvac module case assembly before opening the recirculation actuator door using a hand Vacuum Pump. When the recirculation actuator's door reaches full opening position the defroster actuator should be rotated right and upwards into the space between the ipc and hvac module. Separate the defroster actuator from its connection to the defroster door arm. First connect the defroster actuator to the defroster door arm then snap it onto the hvac module before fixing the vacuum line to the actuator. Reinstall the vacuum line to the recirculation actuator after removing the defroster actuator hand pump. Put the instrument panel compartment in place followed by its attachment screws then tighten the compartment screw to 2 n.m (18 lb in) before adding the right instrument insulator panel.

Before servicing the Air Door Actuator / Motor in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system, you need to take off the right rear quarter trim panel. After that, take out the electrical connector from the temperature actuator and unscrew the retaining screws that hold the temperature actuator to the rear HVAC module (1). Install the temperature actuator (1) at the rear HVAC module and use the accompanying screws to secure it. Reattach the electrical plug to the temperature actuator and then fix the right rear quarter trim panel in place.

First, remove the left instrument panel insulator and the knee bolster.

Re-calibrate the actuator.

Next, remove the two screws securing the actuator and take out the air temperature actuator.

Release the air inlet valve lever, connect the vacuum harness connector to the actuator, and reinstall the instrument panel (IP) lower insulator panel - RH followed by the IP passenger compartment.

Position the new air temperature actuator, aligning the slots in the actuator driver with the flats on the temperature door shaft, and slide it onto the shaft while ensuring the actuator locating hole aligns with the forward alignment pin on the HVAC module case.

Tighten them to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

Disconnect the vacuum harness connectors from the defroster actuator.

A screwdriver is carefully inserted between the bottom of the defrost valve lever and the protruding wall of the HVAC module case.

First, remove the right side instrument panel insulator and the instrument panel compartment.

Remove the IP carrier.

Reconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector and reinstall the IP compartment.

Connect the electrical connector to the actuator and reinstall the IP compartment and the right side IP insulator.

Reconnect the temperature actuator electrical connector.

Reconnect the electrical connector to the actuator, then reinstall the IP compartment and the right side IP insulator.

Ensure the actuator locating holes align with the forward alignment pin on the HVAC module case.

Use a hand vacuum pump to facilitate the process.

Disconnect the air temperature actuator electrical connector and remove the two screws securing the actuator.

Slide the actuator onto the shaft until the actuator driver seats completely and the mounting holes are flush with the mounting screws on the HVAC module case.

Ensure the actuator locating hole aligns with the forward alignment pin on the HVAC module case.

Attach the defroster actuator to the defroster door arm and snap it into place on the HVAC module.

Position the new air temperature actuator and install the screws, tightening them to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

Carefully rotate the vacuum actuator upward and forward until it clears the instrument panel support, then disconnect the vacuum actuator pushrod from the defrost valve lever and remove the vacuum actuator.
